After 132 days without representation, Ward 6 has a City Councilor.
By unanimous vote, City Council appointed Democrat Dana Hollenbeck to the seat that has been vacant since the passing of longtime councilor John Greco.
Hollenbeck will fill the seat until the end of 2019, when the winner of this fall’s city council election for Ward 6 will take over.
Prior to Hollenbeck’s appointment, Mayor Ron Alcock announced that he had received a letter earlier in the day from Lisa Salotti, who was also a candidate for the seat. Salotti stated that she wanted her name removed from consideration, due to her experience with the selection process for the seat.
